Sarah McNamara, SPHR
I've had the great fortune of working for a number of legendary, large and mid-size, San Francisco organizations, and I know how to right size best-in-class HR practices for small organizations that can't afford a full-time, in-house HR Person.
I entereed into consulting work serendipitously. IT started when freinds of mine, who ran small businesses, would call me seeking guidance. Then work started flowing through word of mouth, and that's how I became The HR Person. I regularly work full-time for organizations that can afford an in-house HR professional, but I have always made myself available to support those who need drive-by HR support because I truly loving sharing knowledge and being of service.
Basically, I'm a professional 'people person', and I provide peace of mind to my clients by carefully guiding them with practical solutions to their organization's people matters. I love the sociology, psychology and creative strategies and tactics that inform my profession; and I enjoy designing, delivering and implementing effective processes, procedures, and policies that will support your organization’s HR needs for a long time..
When I work with you I work in accordance to your needs. I have set up HR systems to support more effective and compliant operations; performed project management to advance a strategic goal; guided recruitment processes in the search for talent; advise clients on how best to navigate thorny people problems. These are just a few examples of work performed. When you need someone experienced in executing HR best practices and who will work with you as a business partner, then consider me your HR Person.
My experience draws on more than a decade of partnering with leaders and management, and training staff in producing organizational excellence. I bring together a passion for people, creativity, and operational acumen to build highly organized, innovative and intelligent HR systems, policies and teams; and I make sure we have fun doing it.
